Six Sigma Theory Training Closed Under the High Presidency of Senior Minister Sun Chanthol

PHNOM PENH: Senior Minister Sun Chanthol presided over the closing ceremony of the Six Sigma Theory Training Course (to strengthen the capacity of leadership to manage institutions/units and improve the problem-solving skills of officials in each unit) at the Ministry of Public Works on Thursday, 31 March. The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Ministry, including the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ros Vanna, and the Director of Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport, Hoeun Samneang, and trainees.

This training course was organized by Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport in order to strengthen the efficiency of leadership, institution/unit management, increase the capacity to lead and manage the institution, increase revenue and profit, reduce time and capital expenditure, improve customer satisfaction, and to improve problem-solving skills of officials in each unit.

Speaking at the Closing Ceremony, the Senior Minister thanked Secretary of State Ros Vanna for providing training to the trainees. on positions spanning from the Director General to the Secretary of State, and also training Deputy Heads of 25 Departments of Public Works and Transport. The Deputy Heads of Departments also thanked Techo Sen Institute of Public Works and Transport for organizing this training successfully.

In addition, Senior Minister Sun Chanthol expressed his support for the organization of training courses for the benefit of strengthening the capacity of the technical staff of the Ministry more widely and instructed all participants to receive knowledge and theory through training to perform their work with high quality and efficiency in the future, as well as to utilize these skills for the benefit of public service to the people.

This training course was organized into two sessions: The first session was held on 14 March 2022, with the participation of trainees and leaders of the Ministry (from the Head of the Department to the Secretary of State) amount to a total of 170 participants. The second session involved participants from the 25 levels of Deputy Heads of Departments of Public Works and Transport of the Capital-Provinces and 236 Deputy Heads of Departments, for a total of 406 people.

It should be noted that the knowledge gained from these two training courses is a new knowledge and important to complement and strengthen the efficiency of leadership and management of institutions or organizations. The training courses overall aim to increase capacity on leadership, management, reduce time, reduce costs and increase problem-solving skills.
